Tips & Links

Here is a list of some things worth carrying to Niue:

  • snorkel gear
  • surf shoes to go reef walking
  • hiking boots
  • leather gloves to do a bit of climbing along the coast (corals are very sharp!)
  • insect repellent (important)
  • sun scream SPF 30 (!!!)
  • powerful small and light flashlight (LED) you can have on you all the time (to explore the many limestone caves on Niue)

Take some noodles, cheese and salami from New Zealand with you. You get some tin food and muesli in the supermarket.

Important: Lots of the given information might not be up to date! - After the hurricane many buildings have been destroyed. Even though people on Niue are working really hard it will take them years to rebuilt everything.
